Living History School Tours
at Cedar Hill Guest Ranch We provide teachers and students a wide range of stimulating hands on
activities founded in the history of the Arizona Territory Curriculum standards that our tours address are: 1. The study of transportation in the frontier days. 2. Recognizing differences in dress, manners, games, & chores. 3. Such conditions as manner of lighting (candles and lamps)
are demonstrated. 4. Students are helped to understand
the differences of what happened long ago (100 years or so) as compared to just a few years past. We will
draw from such selections contained in Farmer Boy, Little House in the Big Woods, Prairie Primer, and
Little House on the Prairie. Our history discussions will be based on Kingman History by Loren B. Wilson Activities include: 1. Tractor
drawn wagon rides, 2. Log sawing, 3. Toy making, 4. "Branding"
(paint) a calf, 5. Washday (girls), 6. Roping (boys), 7. Participating in a period dance,
8, Visiting the barnyard and town buildings, 9. Making butter or candle dipping
We are located in the beautiful "Cedar Hills"
area just 35 miles east of Kingman. The quiet and peaceful rollings hills provide a perfect setting for learning about
pioneer life and the history of times gone by. You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch or we will provide
a lunch consisting of a hotdog, chips and a drink at an additional $5.00 charge. Advance notice is required. Advance
reservations are required.

Visit us at Cedar Hill Guest Ranch and relive the western experience in an authentic
1880's town setting. Shop at the general store, have a cool soda at Arizona Annie's, or enjoy a special event at the
Cattlemen's Hall. Join us for some good old western fun.
Ride
in or trailer in and campout. There are hundreds of acres of great riding trails from which to choose
We can serve up to 50 people in the main hall. Tables
and chairs can be moved to the walls for an evening of music and dancing. The adjacent "saloon" can seat an
additional 40 people. There is an outside redwood deck and barbecue for entertaining.

Groups-Weddings The Cattlemen's Hall and
Arizona Annie's Sarsprilla Saloon
along with parking and use of the kitchen and grounds associated with the town are available to rent at a rate of $400.00
for 8 hours ($30.00 each additional hour over 8 hours) or $50.00 per hour. Included will be the use of the tables
and chairs to seat 60 people in the Cattlemen's Hall. Red checkered tablecloths are also available. Limited electrical
power is supplied by a generator. One microphone and amplifier are available for your use. The bathroom with water will
also be open. The General Store will be operated by Cedar Hill Guest Ranch. Beverages
and food, whether sold at Arizona Annie's or the Cattlemen's Hall, will be handled by Cedar Hill Guest
Ranch. Events may begin as
early as 8:00 AM and must conclude by 10:00 PM. Cleanup is the responsibility of the renter and is to be completed
by 11:00 PM. The type of music and sound levels will be controlled by Cedar Hill Guest Ranch.
The use of alcoholic beverages will be at the discretion of Cedar Hill Guest Ranch. Arrangement
for decorating and set-up prior to the activity will be scheduled through the event coordinators. It is our desire to provide
a warm, friendly, family oriented environment for your activity. As event coordinators we will
do all in our power to make your event a memorable one.
